| Striped Bass and Bluefish: May-October: Fish the famous waters around Martha's Vineyard and the Elizabeth Islands for trophy striped bass and bluefish. In the spring and fall, when water temperatures are cooler, live bait fishing in shallower waters is the most productive method. Often times fish up to fifty pounds in less than three feet of water. The warmer waters seen during the hotter summer days pushes fish further offshore into deeper waters. When this happens chunking becomes the preferred method. |
| Tautog and Black Seabass: April- May and September- November These hard-fighting bottom fish are some of the most prized table fare in New England. Heavy tackle is required to pull seabass and tautog away from structure to avoid getting hung up and broken off. Black seabass typically are caught around deep water wrecks in the spring and fall. Prime time for seabass fishing is mid- May. Tautog or blackfish are generally caught in much shallower water around rock-piles. While April and early May can be good, late September through mid- November is the most productive time to catch tautog. |

| Tuna and Shark: June-October: The waters surrounding Cape Cod are some of the most productive for both Bluefin Tuna and large Mako and Thresher Sharks. Most shark fishing is done chumming the waters south of the Vineyard and using live and dead natural baits. Blue sharks are the most common catch; however Mako and Thresher sharks from 150-400 lbs are caught throughout the summer. Bluefin Tuna are generally caught to the East of Chatham and Nantucket trolling artificial lures and spreader bars. Most of these tuna range from 40- 150 lbs, but can be over 500 lbs. These extremely powerful tuna are a respectable adversary on any tackle, and are able to bring even the strongest fishermen to their knees. Not only do these tuna put up a serious fight, but their flesh is considered the most prized in the world. Full day trips are available for up to 3 people aboard "Annie P".
